Similar parallels can be drawn from the observer effect in physical systems and in the process of creation. The very act of observation changes the state of the object being observed. Sometimes when you’re in the flow of music, the instant you analyse what you’re doing, it slips through your fingers.

Most of what I do is pure instinct. I have to surrender myself completely to it. There’s no other way.

Then it will tell me where it wants to go.
